Weaverham Beer Festival
keep looking for updates on this during the coming months, with 10 fine beers and 2 ciders to choose from. Have a look on the beer page for a list of ales.

So you can see how the film equipment is being used in the community, my only worry is running out of DVD's as I have had to borrow some from friends to cover requests. So if anyone has any good condition DVD's they don't want can you donate them to the centre, any subject as we cover a lot of different requests.

Rooms
  • Sports hall

    We Now have Zumba classes, on Monday. To see times please phone the centre on 854088.

    We are also looking at a daytime class with a creche.

    The sports hall can be used for a variety of activities as well as sport.

    It is marked out for Badminton Basketball and 5 aside football; we have 6 bowling carpets and 2 badminton courts.

    It is also for Karate, Dance and children’s parties.

    We can accommodate almost any activity so please call in with your request and we will do our best for you, the hall is also equipped with the latest modern lighting as specified by the badminton association.


  • New rooms

     

    Built in 2009 to replace the old lounge it has added more flexibility to our centre, we have 2 new rooms with fold away doors that slide out of the way. This creates 1 very large room which will seat 150 for a sit down meal, each room with accommodate 70 people with ease. There are 2 sets of panels so we can increase the size of each room by 6 feet if more space is needed, without disturbing the adjoining room.

    When opened up there is a built in dance floor and room for a disco or artist, food can be served directly into the room from the kitchen via the hatch.

    The Kitchen has been fitted out with 2 fridges and 2 freezers; a built in oven and a worktop hob, there is also a 6 burner free standing cooker. There is a commercial microwave and dishwasher which takes 3 minutes to wash dishes, a side hatch means food can be served from outside the lounge if needed.

    We have a new bar area with a fully fitted bar with most of the most popular drinks, the bar can be request for functions.

    Also in one room is a HD projector mounted on the ceiling, which is wired for either computer presentations or linked up to our Blu ray player to show films. We also have a sound system and a Karaoke machine with 100’s of songs all this is on a mobile trolley.


  • Weaverham Gymnastics Club

    The club was founded in 2000 by a Lottery grant, in the last 10 years it has grown every year. The equipment was renewed in 2006 and most is by world class company Gymnova, The equipment available is: Trampoline, High and low beam, Asymentric Bars, Vault, Trampet and floor area. We also have various conditioning equipment to help with strengthening and co-ordination, we are geatful for funding which helps us to maintain the equpiment and add to it.

    Our gymnast caitlin Moss has retained her National tittle once more and is the current GMPD Under 12's National Champion
